The Bachelor's study program in Biology can only be started in the winter semester. Admission to the Bachelor of Science (1-subject) and Bachelor of Arts (2-subject, teaching degree) study programs is restricted. The application deadline is July 15 of each year.
The Master's program can be started in both the winter and summer semesters. The Master of Science Biology program is admission-free, but a complete and timely application via the RUB Admissions Office is still required. The application deadline is January 15 for the summer semester and July 15 for the winter semester.
The Master's degree course can only be taken up in the winter semester. Admission to the Master of Science Biodiversity degree program is restricted. The application deadline is July 15 of each year.

The Master's program can be started in both the winter and summer semesters. Transfers for the summer semester are possible by the end of May at the latest, for the winter semester by the end of November. All credits must be registered or submitted by March 31 or September 30 at the latest. The Master of Education Biology program is admission-free.
